1. Can you share your journey to becoming a Business Architect at Alchemy?

"My journey at Alchemy has been one of growth and discovery. I joined as a Technical Analyst six years ago, eager to learn and contribute. Over time, I have taken on diverse roles, becoming a certified developer, trainer, and now a Business Architect. Each step has allowed me to tackle bigger challenges, deepen my expertise, and deliver meaningful results for our clients."

2. What are some key milestones during your time at Alchemy?

"One of my proudest achievements was supporting a client through a core transformation programme, moving from seven legacy systems to one streamlined solution. I joined the account when only a few of us were involved, and from the start, we worked hard to build trust and show our value. That foundation made a real difference, supporting the go-live, helping set up BAU operations, and driving continuous improvement.

Because of that trusted relationship, the client brought us in for more work, and our team has since grown to support their evolving needs. It has been really rewarding to see that partnership grow and to play a part in their long-term success."

3. What sets Alchemy apart when it comes to delivering digital transformation projects in the insurance industry?

"At Alchemy, by combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of the insurance market, we deliver results that truly make a difference. That knowledge enables us to quickly identify the core of our clients’ challenges and tailor solutions that truly meet their needs. Our approach is highly collaborative. We work closely with clients to align with their goals and deliver outcomes that are built to last. It is this combination of industry understanding and partnership that makes our work impactful and why clients trust us to keep supporting them well beyond delivery."

4. How do mentorship and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) shape Alchemy’s approach to transformation?

"Mentorship and inclusion are central to how we work at Alchemy. As a Mentor Group Lead, I support colleagues in building their confidence and developing their skills. It is incredibly rewarding to watch them grow, take on new challenges, and succeed. That culture of learning and collaboration is something we are really proud of.

Outside of Alchemy, I am passionate about inspiring the next generation, particularly young women. Through our STEM programme, I have mentored school students, spoken at local schools such as St Mary’s College, and helped promote careers in tech to girls who might not have considered it otherwise. Diversity strengthens our teams and community, driving better outcomes. When we share knowledge and create space for different perspectives, we see real transformation, not just in businesses, but in how people grow and work together."

5. What excites you most about the future of technology in the insurance industry?

"I’m excited about the potential of AI and automation to solve challenges, improve decision-making, and enhance customer experiences. At Alchemy, we are always looking ahead, finding ways to help our clients innovate and stay competitive. It is inspiring to be part of an industry that’s rapidly evolving and full of opportunities to make a real impact."
